Nikki & Chase | Mellwood Arts Center | October 30, 2020

Hello friends! I’m only about a month behind on posting the details from this super fun and spooky Halloween themed wedding but better late than never, right? So here ya go!

This past month has been a whirlwind of weddings and fall minis and then we threw in Christmas minis too so I’ve been quite busy. With Thanksgiving being tomorrow I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone that has supported me over the past few months as I’ve taken on photography full time and all those that have continuously supported me over the years. This has been such a blessing. To be able to do what I love, spend more time with my family (even though I’m actually working more) and build the life I’ve always wanted, I couldn’t do it without all of you.

I don’t want to dive into too much right now because that’s not what this post is about BUT there are some big things coming in 2021 and I cannot wait to include all of you in on my master plan to conquer the world. ๐Ÿ˜‰

But until then, let’s chat about Nikki and Chase’s big day!
First off, the Zachari/Able family has been in my life since I was about 14 so when Jessica texted me about Nikki’s wedding I was like hell to the yeah! I’ve photographed a lot of memories and moments for this family so I wasn’t about to pass up another opportunity. And when I heard it was a Halloween themed reception, I knew I had to come dressed to impress. Even though shooting a wedding dressed as Moira Rose from Schitt’s Creek was no easy task. Let me tell you, I’m pretty sure my cameras got caught on my sparkly skirt and fishnets more time than I can count, but hey, I was not letting this opportunity pass me by!

Friday October 30th was a perfectly crisp fall day in Louisville. Nikki and Chase were married at Mellwood Arts Center which always holds a special place in my heart because that’s where my own wedding reception was held. The bridal party wore black dresses and warmed up for some badass photos with black leather jackets. Huge fan over here of ALL OF THAT. Not that I expected any less, this family is full of badass women.

When I first met Chase, I could tell immediately that he was so head over heels in love and watching him and Nikki see each other for the first time solidified my assumptions. They were the sweetest together and I know that these two cuties are going to have the happiest of lives together.

But alas, this is what you came for right? Some of my favorites from their day.

Thanks Nikki and Chase for letting me photograph your perfect day. I wish you both nothing but all the happiness in the world and I can’t wait to hopefully tag along during all your life adventures as your forever photographer. ๐Ÿ˜‰
