The Hack Family | 2018 | Broad Run Park

Hello and good evening! Welcome back to the blog! Today I’m thrilled to show you my latest session with The Hack Family.
I’ve been photographing this family for the past few years and when I say it’s been an honor, I genuinely mean it’s been an honor.
The very first photoshoot I had with Amanda, Adam, Braden and Aubrey, they were in the final stages of adopting their son, Samuel.
Amanda mentioned to me during this time that Samuel was going to require surgery when he came home with them but I didn’t realize at the time that Samuel was going to undergo heart replacement surgery.
Samuel came home and he thrived with this family. They were his, he was theirs and you could just feel the love from this family.
Samuel underwent a full heart transplant last year. During his recovery, we had a chance to take a few more photos.
In March, Super Samuel as he was called was with his family as he passed away and went home to be with the Lord. But let me tell you something, the memories he left behind and his fighting spirit will never be forgotten. He lives on in this selfless family and will always be with them.
When Amanda emailed me a few weeks ago and said she was ready for new family photos, I was obviously thrilled and honored (see, there’s that word again) to do them and I knew that she would incorporate Samuel into these photos. Below is our session from last week, Bunny included. 🙂
On September 22nd The Hack family and many other families will be participating in The Heart Walk and would be thrilled for anyone and everyone that can to join.
Or if you can please consider donating to The American Heart Association. No donation is too small.
Hack Family, I admire your courage and think you’re all amazing. I love that I’ve been able to capture these memories for you and that I got to meet Super Samuel. I look forward to our next session in October.
Until then, I hope you enjoy your latest photographs.
