Good evening! Happy Saturday! Hope everyone is having a great day. I was having a pretty good day until the Cards decided to blow the lead we had over FSU and ended up losing the game. This season is rough. Ugh.
But anyway, I didn’t decide to blog tonight because UofL lost, I’ve been hard at work finishing up this gorgeous wedding that I had the pleasure of photographing a few weeks ago. Two to be exact!
Jessica and Ray got married at Wicks in New Albany, their wedding was actually the very first wedding that has ever been held at that location. It’s downtown so we were able to sneak off and do some private alley way solo shots with just Jessica and Ray which I really liked. You know what else I liked? How laid back this wedding was. Jessica and Ray were super chill and all about spending the day just enjoying themselves and being in the moment.
Speaking of moments, there were a few that even caused me to tear up. Jessica lost her father unexpectedly a few months before the wedding and it’s been extremely hard on their family. There were personal touches that included Jessica’s dad in this special day and it was so sweet. His photo was at the head table where they were married, she had a special moment with her and just her dads photo after the ceremony and then towards the end of the evening they put on one of the songs he used to play with his band and they all did shots in his honor. James was definitely a part of this wedding and his presence was known.
I really enjoyed photographing this wedding and I’m honored to be a part of it. Thank you so much for choosing me and congratulations to you both!
